Founded in Lagos in 2021, NovaPay is on a mission to make digital payments seamless for every African business.
To empower African businesses of all sizes with world-class payment infrastructure that removes the friction from commerce. We believe every entrepreneur, from the market trader in Onitsha to the tech startup in Yaba, deserves access to reliable, affordable payment tools.
NovaPay was born from a simple observation: while Nigeria had become Africa's largest economy, its digital payment infrastructure lagged behind. Founders Tunde Adeleke and Chioma Eze — both former engineers at global fintech companies — returned to Lagos determined to build a payment platform that matched global standards while understanding local realities.
Starting from a small office in Victoria Island with just 5 people, NovaPay has grown to a team of 120+ across Lagos, Nairobi, and Accra. We've processed over ₦500 billion in transactions and count some of Nigeria's fastest-growing businesses as customers.
We deliver fast solutions without cutting corners on security, compliance, or reliability.
Every feature we build starts with a real customer problem. We measure success by our merchants' growth.
No hidden fees, no fine print. We earn trust by being radically transparent in everything we do.
We understand the unique challenges of African markets because we live and work here. Our solutions are built for our reality.
