HopeSpring Foundation was born in 2015 when a small group of friends led by Dr. Amina Yusuf saw firsthand the challenges facing rural communities in northern Nigeria during a medical outreach. What started as a weekend volunteering effort has grown into a nationwide movement.
Over the past decade, we have expanded from one community health initiative to 85+ active projects spanning education, water and sanitation, maternal health, youth empowerment, and emergency relief. Our approach is community-led — we work with local leaders to design and implement solutions that are sustainable and culturally appropriate.
Today, HopeSpring operates in 200+ communities across 18 Nigerian states, with a team of 45 full-time staff and over 1,200 dedicated volunteers. We remain committed to our founding belief: that every Nigerian deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, educated, and dignified life.
First medical outreach in Kano State, serving 300 patients in one weekend.
Built and equipped a primary school in Zaria, enrolling 120 children.
Launched Clean Water program, installing 10 boreholes across Benue communities.
